Agartala Tourism
Agartala, the state capital, is connected by road with Guwahati via Shillong
by National Highway No. 44. It takes about 24 hrs. by road from Guwahati to
reach Agartala. There are flight connections with Calcutta and Guwahati. Ujjayanta
Palace is a modern building of the royal house of Tripura and is located in
the heart of Agartala, sprawling over a half sq.kms.
Aru Tourism
Aru, 107 kms from Srinagar, is situated at an altitude of 2408 m. Aru is a serene
and idyllic natural paradise devoid of heat, dust, pollution, vehicles, crowds,
etc. It is a meadow bordered on one side by a gorge with a small hamlet of wood-and-stone
houses, some of them built in the typical Gujjar-shepherd style; flat roofed,
squat and backed against the hillside.
Bhedaghat Tourism

Bodhgaya Tourism

truth and the saga of Buddha began. He attained the supreme enlightenment and
became 'The Buddha', the enlightened one. Thus Buddhism was born here under

Chanderi Tourism
Chanderi is also famous for its brocades and muslins, specially for its handwoven
Chanderi sarees. Here, master weavers use silk and cotton to create dazzling
weaves, distinguished by beautiful borders. Usually in subtle hues, the Chanderi
sarees have a sophistication hard to match.
Jhalwar Tourism
The Princely State of Jhalawar was created in 1838 A. D. after being separated
from Kota by the British. It got its name derived from Jhalas, the Jhala clan
of Rajputs, also the rulers of Jhalawar. Lying in the south-eastern region of
Rajasthan at the edge of the Malwa plateau, Jhalawar has rocky, but water-laden
verdant landscape, unlike much of the Rajasthan.
Kasauli Tourism
The narrow roads of Kasauli 91927m) slither up and down the hill side and offer
some magnificent vistas. Directly below is the spread of vast plains of Punjab
and Haryana which has darkness falls, unroll a gorgeous carpet of twinkling

Keylong Tourism
Situated at an altitude of 3350 mtrs., Keylong is the head quarter of Lahaul
and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh lying on Indo-Tebetan Border. The region
is strange, exciting, primitive mountaineous and delightful. "Rudyard Kipling

Khajjiar Tourism
Often called India's Switzerland, the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has
circumference of about 5 km. Along its fringes, this forests of deodar climb
the slopes, the snow-line rests above these woods and in the center of the glade,
is a small lake fed by streams that traverse the green carpet.
Kinnaur Tourism
Located in the dizzying heights of the Himalayas, with passes that remain closed
for six months linking them with the rest of the world, Kinnaur, Spiti &
Lahaul were till now a forbidden land. Only a chosen few were granted permission
to visit this secret world, officials, Moravian missionaries who settled here
in 1853 and a few mountaineers.
Matheran Tourism
Barely 171 kms from Mumbai, Matheran, discovered by Hugh Mallet, collector of
Thane district, in 1850, has long been a refuge for humidity-stricken Mumbaikars
(as the residents of the metropolis are known).
Palitana Tourism
A 56 km drive from Bhavnagar, Palitana lies at the foot of the Shatrunjaya hill,
with the Shatrunjaya river flowing to its south. The sacred hill rises in a
crescendo of magnificent temples, 863 in all, that soar in splendour to the
summit.
Pithoragarh Tourism
This district borders Tibet in the north and Nepal in the east. Due to this
strategic location, the outer limits, due north and east, require permits to
explore. The pilgrim route to Kailash- Mansarovar (a mountain and lake highly
revered by the Hindus), traverses through this region.
Ratnagiri Tourism
Ratnagiri in the Birupa river valley near Cuttack, is another famous Buddhist
center. The small hill near the village of the same name has rich Buddhist antiquarian
remains. A large-scale excavation has unearthed two large monasteries, a big
stupa, Buddhist shrines, sculptures, and a large number of votive stupas.
